Delete from inside the app
Open The Democrat App, tap the menu, then Profile, and choose Delete My Account. Your account and data are removed immediately.
Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email us from the address on your account:
Send to thedemocratapp@gmail.com with the subject
“Delete My Account.” We verify the request comes from the account email, then delete
within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What gets deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number, and date of birth
- Your ZIP code and any saved street address
- Your Match Quiz answers and results
- Your community posts and comments
- Your communication preferences and opt-in choices
- Your login credentials and any linked Google or Apple sign-in
What we keep, and for how long
- Records we are required to retain by law, kept only as long as the law requires.
- Anonymized, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you.
- Routine server logs, which are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle.
Nothing retained can be used to identify or contact you.
